Secondary education comprises two phases under the government approved curriculum. Junior secondary (6-9) and senior secondary (10-13). Students are facilitated to take a maximum of 9 subjects in this phase. Senior secondary education is divided into two stages: Key stage 1 (grades 10–11) is concluded with a national examination for the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level). Key stage 2 (grades 12–13) is concluded with a national examination for the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level). At SBC, Matale, we take ownership to gear students to successfully sit for all government examinations.

Furthermore the school facilitated with English medium education. Well experienced and qualified and government retired teachers render the service under the supervision of the sectional head teachers and the subject head teachers.

රජයේ විෂය නිර්දේශය යටතේ 06 ශ්‍රේණියේ සිට අ.පො.ස සාමාන්‍යපෙළ සහ අ.පො.ස උසස්පෙළ කලා විෂය ධාරාව යටතේ අධ්‍යාපනය ලැබීමට පහසුකම් අප විද්‍යාලය සතුව පවතී. ඉංග්‍රීසි මාධ්‍යයෙන් සහ සිංහල මාධ්‍යයෙන් ද අධ්‍යාපනය ලැබිය හැකි අතර, උපාධිධාරී ගුරුභවතුන් මෙන්ම, විශ්‍රාමික ගුරුභවතුන්ගේ ද අත්දැකීම් සංකලනය කරමින් අංශප්‍රධාන, විෂය ප්‍රධාන ගුරු භවතුන්ගේ පූර්ණ අධීක්ෂණය යටතේ ක්‍රියාත්මක වේ.

රජයේ සියලුම විභාගයන් සඳහා ඉදිරිපත්වීමේ අවකාශ මෙන්ම, කලාප මට්ටමේ ක්‍රීඩා තරඟ, දිස්ත්‍රික් සහ සමස්ත ලංකා තරඟ සඳහා සහභාගී වීමේ අවස්ථාවන් ද හිමි වේ. නොමිළයේ නිළ ඇඳුම්, පෙළ පොත් ඇතුළු සියලුම පහසුකම් ද, සුරක්ෂා රක්ෂණාවරණයට ද හිමිකම් පෑමට සිසුන්ට අවස්ථාව ලැබේ.
